Everton make progress on potential Idrissa Gueye replacement Will Gueye leave Everton this month? Everton have reportedly made good progress on signing a La Liga central midfielder who could replace Idrissa Gueye after links with PSG. The Senegalese midfielder has been linked with a move to Paris for a number of weeks now. After leaving Aston Villa to join Everton following the formers relegation Gueye has become of the best tacklers in the Premier League. He can single-handedly lock down the midfield and never gives the opposition a second to breathe. Those qualities have lead to suggestions Gueye could leave to join Paris Saint-Germain. TheSlovakian midfielder has impressed in La Liga this season despite Celta being down in 17th. That has lead to reported interest from Everton.
